SnowBlower Repair FAQs

Self propelled snow blower will start but only runs in choke position

There are a few things that can cause this, but generally can be narrowed down to a lean mixture. To get it running properly, install a new spark plug. Next, remove the carburetor and dissasemble it. Clean the inlet needle and seat throughly, as well as the jets. Use good carb cleaner. If the machine has a fuel filter, glass bowl, or in tank screen, clean or replace them. After doing all of this, it should run fine.

When blowing deep snow, my snowblower chute keeps getting clogged up

It's probably time to replace the paddles. you can try waxing the chute and paddles to see if that helps.

Need New paddles on my snowblower but the old ones are held in by rivets

The rivets need to be drilled or ground off with small grinder, and hammered out.
The replacement paddles should come with small  bolts to attach them. If they don't pick some up from your local hardware store.
